Dear Members,
We write to you to give you an update following our meeting with trustees.
We understand that there are internal discussions taking place between the trustees in relation to current events in Yeshivah, and we are greatly encouraged by our informal discussions with trustees that have continued since our meeting. We continue to be a representative, positive voice for our members in promoting good governance for our institutions.
The issues are complex. Our professional advice recommends that we continue to move forward in our discussions with the trustees, through a transparent process.
We have requested a further meeting with the trustees to allow for ongoing collaboration. We look forward to providing an opportunity for PFYM to discuss with the trustees, the possible nominations of those who have come forward from our association, and/or to meet with possible candidates for an interim board. We have also requested that documentation be provided, relating to risk, timelines, and strategy.
A governance review and new leadership is crucial at Yeshivah. We are concerned that at this point in time, the process of appointment for positions on a new board may be being compromised by conflicts of interest. This may preclude the best outcomes for our community.
We wish to thank you, our members, for all of your positive feedback. This energises us in our work on behalf of our membership, and we thank you so much for your continuing support and encouragement. We welcome your input, please contact us at pfyeshivahmelbourne@gmail.com
We look forward to working together to promoting good governance in the leadership of the Yeshivah community.
Best Regards,
