Hi Manny,
I just want to say thank you so much for everything you did for us during our particularly crappy time!
[REDACTED] is getting stronger, he's finding his way slowly, and I have every faith in his superlative strength & sense of self. You were a vital part of this process and I feel indebted to you for your support that alleviated a little of my tremendous burden at that time.
There is so much behind the scenes; details that you were an integral part of, that without you, would never have happened. I could try to elucidate them all, but I would probably not do them all justice.
You are fighting a fight that not all of us feel strong enough to take on. When I hear adverse opinions of you, I become so angry, but feel in my position that I can't really defend you, for fear of my story being more exposed. (How sad, that I'm afraid of shaking the status quo by revealing to people what happened?)
However, if I hadn't been through everything with my son, I wouldn't be privy to everything you do/did behind the scenes. Not only giving up your time willingly & graciously to accompany my son to the police station; a terribly frightening first step on his journey, but assisting us on every heart stopping challenge our individual case threw our way.
I often wonder, if you hadn't taken on this fight in your own individual way, filled with this incredible zeal to help and protect our young, shaking the "leaders" of this community off their complacent perches, nothing would have been achieved, because they would not have felt even the slightest bit of fear.
Unfortunately there is still a lot of work to do, but you began this fight valiantly and I swear you are definitely a person of heroic proportion in my eyes. Thank you seems so paltry. But thank you again Manny.
Wishing you and yours a tremendously wonderful year filled with only good things & happiness in abundance!!!
