Israel victim support and advocacy group Magen has launched a public campaign regarding the current Malka Leifer case. This follows the recent (and first-ever) public statement by one of Leifer's alleged victims.
Below is Magen's public campaign. I encourage the community to get behind it. We need to support victims and alleged victims of child sexual abuse, and to put sexual abusers and alleged sexual abusers on notice. Enough! No more silence.
5 THINGS YOU CAN DO ABOUT MALKA LEIFER
1. SEND WORDS OF SUPPORT to her victims, by posting them on Magen's Facebook Page, and we will pass them on.
2. EMAIL the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ones responsible for foreign citizens’ hearings and extraditions, at [email protected]. ENCOURAGE TO THEM TO DO ALL THEY CAN TO ENSURE LEIFER FACES JUSTICE.
3. EMAIL the Adass Israel school, where Leifer was the principal, and urge them to do everything in their power to support the victims and bring Leifer to justice, at [email protected]. REMIND THEM OF THEIR OBLIGATION, ESPECIALLY AS THEY WERE THE ONES WHO ASSISTED HER IN EVADING JUSTICE.
4. EMAIL the Australian Police’s SOCIT (Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team), encouraging them to fully investigate a potential criminal role played by the Adass Israel School leadership, who arranged for Leifer to be on a flight to Israel only hours after attending an emergency board meeting to discuss the charges against her. Let the Australian police know the Jewish community FULLY SUPPORTS BRINGING ALL PARTIES TO JUSTICE, at [email protected]
5. ATTEND Leifer’s next court hearing: Sunday, February 21st at 9:30am, at the Jerusalem District Court, Salach A-din Street, Number 40. JOIN THE PROTEST IN SUPPORT OF LEIFER’S EXTRADITION.
